Well, it seems congratulations are in Order for Alex Tew as he had made his goal of selling all the pixel-advertisements he had space for on his home page.
It is good when someone actually makes a sucess of what is basically an excellent, innovative idea. The whole principle of it had that element of simplicity that, when you hear about it, makes you kick yourself for not thinking of it sooner.

Interestingly enough, it seems like the million dollar home page is down at the moment……. Can people demand a refund for their advertisements?
Shame all the idiots copied him. Some ideas are brilliant and should be copied because they are stable and worthwhile enough to be replicated (windows for example), some work simply because they are original (this one).
Advertising is not a magical art, the key is getting the traffic you want on your website. If hits come from people who dont want your product or service you are simply wasting bandwidth. This is why targeted adverts (google adsense etc) work so much better than just random dottings.
Congratulations to Mr Tew, I hope everyone who copied the idea gets wise quick.
