  1. Well, have you noticed that Santa is an anagram of Satan? And he wears red, the colour of the Prince of Darkness! And he comes down chimneys and thus he must be immune to the fire! Truly Santa is a manifestation of the Devil!

Merry Hellmas…. Whu ha ha ha!

    (I apologise)

  2. TW, great wordplay and great joke. I particularly like it because I’ve been using it for years (not that you’ve heard it from me; we arrived at it independently of one another.)

Another Christmas wordplay that I use often is: Joy to the Whirled. I just thought I’d mention it before you stumbled on that one, too.

I still like John Lennon’s best, though: Merry Crispness.

Sorry, I’ve accidentally deleted your last comment in a failed attempt to delete the doubled up one. I am not going to try again or they’ll all vanish. So I’ll leave the double one.
Yes, it was indeed me who was guilty, terrible puns being more my line.

  5. In fact, if I didn’t think that TW would delete the whole post on sight I would put the interminable jokethat I worked up the other day to support the punchline: “Rod guessed you, Gerry Mental Man”

  6. 😀 Love it.
As kids we always sang “While Shepherds washed their socks by night” in school carol services. I think at least half of us thought they were the real words, unless that was just me….
