Well, I was going to leave the Virginia Tech tragedy and not mention it again, but the sheer idiocy demonstrated by good old Debbie Schlussel can not be missed out! This blog has mentioned Ms Schlussel in the past<\/a>, so I am sure you can imagine what wonderful comments she is coming out with now.<\/p>\n

On that delightful part of the blogosphere which is her blog, Ms Schlussel was very quick off the mark with “updates” about the Virginia Tech shooting. Obviously being quick was more important than having anything but the most approximate relationship with reality. She has a post titled “Who is the ‘Asian’ Mass Murderer at Virginia Tech? UPDATE: Shooter is S. KOREAN w\/Student Visa<\/a>” and within it, is a seething pool of woo, nonsense and racial hatred. It is almost comical.<\/p>\n

The sheer volume of bile and nonsense on this blog post is surprising, and makes it reasonably difficult for me to pick what bits I will repost here. Please, check out her blog (especially the comments) and see for yourself the reality. Some highlights, in time order are:<\/p>\n

Here’s what we know about the murderer of at least 32 students and maimer of at least 28 more at Virginia Tech, today:<\/p>\n

* The murderer has been identified by law enforcement and media reports as “a young Asian male<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

* The Virginia Tech campus has a very large Muslim community, many of which are from Pakistan<\/a> (per terrorism investigator Bill Warner<\/a>).<\/p>\n

* Pakis are considered “Asian.”<\/p>\n

* There were 2 attacks at least half a mile apart.<\/p>\n

* There have been at least two bomb threats to this campus in the last two weeks<\/a>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The above was posted very early on, as the news was starting to come out, and there are a string of updates. The madness which must exist inside Ms Schlussel’s mind seems quite apparent though. From the “young Asian male” reference she has built a whole line of reasoning to turn this into a Pakistani Muslim terrorist attack. Amazing. In the comments she is picked up about the Pakis are considered “Asian”<\/em> remark and Debbie continues to show her ignorance with every response. Her updates are little better:<\/p>\n

**** UPDATE #2<\/strong>: The shooter has now been identified as a Chinese national here on a student visa<\/a>. Lovely. Yet another reason to stop letting in so many foreign students. ****<\/strong><\/p>\n

**** UPDATE #3, 04\/17\/07<\/strong>: The shooter has now been identified as a South Korean national<\/a>, who is a permanent resident. ****<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In her defence, at least she has not tried to hide the nonsense posted early on and I suppose that is a good thing, but I remain amazed at the lengths she will take to make this an “Islamic” issue. I wonder if she ever doubts her assumptions, when she tries to use this as a reason to stop foreign students, then finds out he had a green card? The rest of her blog post is in a similar vein of hatred, such as this from “below the fold:”<\/p>\n

How could there be only one shooter–who was able to go a half mile away to commit a second set of shootings? Were there two and was this a coordinated terrorist attack?<\/p>\n

So who is the shooter? What is the shooter’s nationality? What is the shooter’s religion<\/em>? Waiting to find out. And wondering why the police and media are referring to the shooter as “Asian” and not by specific nationality.<\/p>\n

If I were Asian, I’d be legitimately upset with this broad generalization of the mass murderer’s identity.<\/p>\n

Why am I speculating that the “Asian” gunman is a Pakistani Muslim? Because law enforcement and the media strangely won’t tell us more specifically who the gunman is. Why?<\/p>\n

Even if it does not turn out that the shooter is Muslim, this is a demonstration to Muslim jihadists all over that it is extremely easy to shoot and kill multiple American college students.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

If she actually believes this, she is even more embarrassing than I previously thought. She assumes a Pakistani Muslim because she has no evidence to the contrary (blinding logic) and the parting shot is to claim that even if it wasn’t<\/strong> Muslims, they are involved…<\/p>\n

Are there NO limits to this woman’s’ madness?<\/p>\n
