I find that society accepts it when you are a muslim
Really? On the contrary I find it that society will vilify any public figure who is not a Christian (even in the “secular” UK this holds slightly true).
Saying you are a Muslim in the western world rarely garners public acceptance – even the obviously Christian President Obama is “accused” of being Muslim, as if it were a crime. How is that society accepting Muslims?
Sadly it is very, very socially acceptable to say you believe in god, but should claim to believe in any other imaginary things you will be castigated by the public.
Pretty weird, isn’t it.
]]>True, but moderately entertaining for a minute or two.
]]>Its weird that 20 years ago, no one discussed their religion. It was considered bad manners to openly state your beliefs and the thought of TV presenters vining on about what mythos they bought into would have been mind blowing.
20 years later, we get Christian propaganda rammed down our throats at every turn, all the while the Christians scream how unfair it is that no one likes them… Bizarre.
