And many are not low level toilers in the bowels of bureaucracy – they’re right up there where they can really screw over democracy and freedom.

And plonkee, while they sound ignorant to you, to themselves they are the fount of wisdom and truth, delivered to them personally by their god. They are not bothered by facts, by evidence, by real-world reasoning. They are, by any definition, mentally ill, and pathetically so.

For anyone over here (in the UK) to put forward arguments such as those they would have to have been educated outside the country – what little homeschooling we do have is regulated and parents have to show that their children have reached an acceptable level of knowlegde in most subjects including science – and evolution is taught in all schools mostly without argument (even if the catholic schools don’t like it)- so far anyway- although I note that a few imports from the USA have started to try and get a ‘debate’ about it going- and have largely been laughed at 🙂
