You seem to imply that praying for us is some form of threat, which I find confusing. All the prayer in the world doesn’t change a thing, so at the end of the day it will only be a waste of your time not mine. Please feel free to pray for anything as much as you like., When prayer actually changes something real (such as a limb grows back) then I may give it more consideration. Until then I am comforted by the knowledge that in every single test, prayer shows no effect.
If Shelly Corbitt has spent her own money on the book, then great. All it means is either God has a tremendous sense of humour and has pretty much jerked her around, or she is delusional. Either way, it was, as always, a non-event. I await the next non-rapture with baited breath.
Paul: Erratic use of capital letters does not lend weight to your argument. Poor spelling on a par with Heather does not make your comments more authoritative. If there was actually something you wanted to say here, then please say it. Copy and Pasting out of context quotes from the bible is not really constructive as conversations go.
]]>(KJV) Mar13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
At this time, no man (John), not the ANGELS, neither THE SON JESUS-CHRIST, but GOD THE FATHER knew.
(KJV)Rev 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: 1:2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.
And now, GOD THE FATHER, reveal it to is SON JESUS-CHRIST, and THE LORD to his ANGEL and the ANGEL, to John (a man), and this man record all things that he saw and WE ALL READ IT IN THE BOOK OF THE REVELATION.
ALLELUIA !!! IN HEAVEN, THE LORD JESUS CALL THAT A TRUE REVELATION !
So we will know… and the time is already set, and now WE KNOW !
God bless
]]>Shelby Corbit has not earned one dime from her book, she gives it away without cost. She paid out of pocket for the publishing of this book.
And here is the kicker….I am going to pray for all of you whether you like it or not. I would love to she each and every one of you in heaven where you never die and you live in the presence of our Father in heaven for all eternity.
I hope this post doesn’t cause heads to explode with the shear audacity of me bringing Jesus onto this forum where He is not welcomed as it is quite clear from what I read.
God bless you The founder of your much hated RITA
]]>His criteria doesn’t allow evidence.
On the contrary.I just dont think you know what evidence means.
Atheism is not a religion, and only a real fool thinks otherwise. Everyone, when they are born has no religion. As they grow up, adults convince them of one fairy tale or another and they become religious. If people are born sinners then your god is cruel, malicious and unforgiving. Well done.
]]>Nothing you say will convince me there is no God,
Fair enough, that’s your prerogative, but why then pretend that you’re arguing based on evidence if evidence is irrelevant to you? It’s your opinion that you’re a son of Satan, but maybe you have a really interesting family tree. Scientists with their ‘evidence’ would argue you had a human father – but what do they know? The ancient Athenians believed they grew from the ground and their evidence was at least as good as yours. If your position is that evidence against your faith can be ignored then why do you need prophecies and scripture?
Regardless, what kind of God would punish you are events utterly beyond your control? I know you said people who never heard about Jesus will have it easier, but have you any evidence for this? Is there somewhere in the Bible which reads “Blessed are those who died in childbirth, for they shall be shall be cooked lightly on Gas Mark Four.” What kind of loving God tolerates gently roasting babies whose only crime was to be conceived? It’s not proof he doesn’t exist, but it is show that if he does he’s not a very moral character.
Keaton – I’ve already shown you that your God, if he exists, has deceived you. Is it not possible you could be wrong about your God in other ways?
]]>There is no god and I am aware of this because I am rational enough to observe the total lack of evidence for a creator deity’s existence. I am also rational enough to realise the logical inconsistencies with the existence of a single deity, and I am aware that most pantheistic religions just make up gods to suit the weather (etc).
]]>Keaton, welcome back. I appreciate you are getting out of your depth but your persistence is to be applauded.
There is a fallacy in your statement that suggests that the less educated you are the more likely you are to believe in a deity.
Interesting. I clearly wrote “less likely” yet you seem to think a single person counts as a disproval. What was it I said about education?
Now, it could also be heavily debated if Steven Hawking is indeed the most intelligent person on Earth – I think you will find that while he is certainly an expert in his field (although there are lots of other physicists who are equally notable), when he moved beyond his field of expertise things change. For example, does Steven Hawking know how to code a PHP/MySQL log on script? Does he know the detailed history of how Athens became a democracy and what sort of democracy it was? Possibly, but he certainly is not an authority on either.
Most theists are regular abusers of the false authority fallacy.
Steven Hawking, the most intelligent lifeform on the face of this earth believed in intelligent design.
Not true in any real sense. He has kicked around the idea of panspermia, but even then that was more Fred Hoyle. If you read his books (eg Brief History of Time) he is quite open in his disdain for the idea of a creator deity. While it is possible he may have some spiritual tendencies, so what?
Why did God create Satan?
Why is a just God punishing those who were, for example, born before 1AD? What sin have they committed?
Your God is nothing but an oppressive bully. If I said to my wife “worship me or die in flames,” I suspect a divorce would be on the cards, as well as jail time if I tried to follow it through.
Torture and cruel punishments are universally accepted as “wrong” yet your Just and Good God sees fit to place those who are innocent of any crime or misdeed in the worst torture for eternity.
Hmm. Doesn’t sound like any “Good” I would recognise. You really need to go back to the middle-eastern sun god roots of your religion, all this interaction with Nordic gods of war has changed things for the worst.
