Most people probably think that they are somehow in charge of their life – their life and their body are their own responsibility. According to some theologians, however, that isn’t actually the case. They argue that God owns you and, therefore, you have no right to do anything to your body or your life that God doesn’t sanction.

Kind of flies in the face of the Freedoms the Rabbi is claiming above. I see it really is a case that “we” are free to do whatever God wants us to do….. (this could be a whole new blog post).

Hi. Thanks for letting us know about this article. If this is the same Rabbi Marc Gellman who is a member of “The God Squad” he has quite a history of making odd conclusions and misleading statements, often about atheism. Austin Cline over at About Atheism has written about him and the God Squad a number of times, here is a link to one post:
